He’s known as the bhajan samrat of India, but Anup Jalota has also sung his share of Bollywood and ghazal numbers.
But now he’s ready to experiment with a genre that he hasn’t tried before pop. The song, which Jalota is set to record, is a duet with Sunidhi Chauhan.“Thissong is for my own production Boys to Boys Hain and it will be the first popsong I’ve done in my career. It’s a youth centric film, so that wasthe demand. The lyrics are part English, part Hindi,” Anup told MumbaiMirror.This pop song will play with the end credits that willintroduce the cast and crew of the film. “Since I am one of the producersof the film, even I will be making a brief appearance init.”The film was in the news recently after Archie ComicPublications sent a legal notice, demanding damages of approximately Rs 7 crorefrom the makers for depicting characters inspired by Archie Andrews and hisfriends, Jughead, Reggie, Veronica and Betty. “There’s been no newdevelopment on that front,” said Anup.Follow us on Twitter for more stories
